How to use heart suit emoji
Despite the strange naming of this emoji, the symbol can be used in more ways than to suggest that you are having a cheeky poker night. In fact, the symbols primary use is to indicate love or affection towards something - either in a romantic or a platonic fashion. You could send the symbol to your crush, react to a picture of a cute puppy with it or you could post it to your group chat just to show someone they are loved. Often, the Heart Suit Emoji is enough to show your adoration, but you could chain some words together to enhance the message further. History of the ♥ emoji
Black Heart Suit emoji was added to Unicode 1.1 in 1993 and was added to Emoji 1.0 in 2015. This Unicode update pre dated current emojis and included Smiling Face, Frowning Face and the Skull and Crossbones.
